The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation has continued their support of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital with their yearly donation. The STEGH Foundation with the support of St. Thomas, Elgin County, and beyond has donated over $1.2 million directly to the hospital. The donation is an accumulative amount raised throughout their fiscal year for 2018-2019.
The money has gone towards clinical priorities such as the great expansion, the purchase of a second mammography unit, and advancements in the women and children’s unit, chemotherapy unit, ICU, and so much more.
Executive Director of the STEGH Foundation Paul Jenkins says the generosity of the community is what makes them able to make the yearly donations that they do.
Jenkins says that the donations that are made have a direct impact on the patient care we all receive at the STEGH.
