Premier Doug Ford announced that if Donald Trump follows through on his proposed 25% tariffs on Canadian exports, their alcohol producers will feel the pinch.
Speaking at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association conference in Toronto, Ford emphasized that Ontario is a large purchaser of alcohol and will be asking other premiers to follow in his footsteps.
Trump’s tariff threat comes amid demands for stricter border security, despite recent policy updates from Ottawa.
