myFM shared details on the fall leaf and yard waste collection currently underway in St. Thomas last week, and now it’s Elgin County’s turn.
The Municipality of Central Elgin has announced that residents in built up areas will be able to leave yard waste bags on the curb to be collected on Monday, November 18th.
Staff asks that all bags be on the curb for collection by 7 a.m. and advise that no bag tag is required.
In the Town of Aylmer, yard waste collection is set to run weekdays until November 22nd weather dependent. There is no defined route, however several trips will be made throughout the Town during the specified dates.
Those in Southwold and other parts of the county can drop off a maximum of 5 bags free of charge to the St. Thomas Community Recycling Centre.
Acceptable Material includes: Grass, leaves, weeds, plants and brush (no longer than 3 feet and no thicker than 2 inches in diameter).
