With that, here’s what’s open and what’s closed in St. Thomas and Elgin County on Labour Day.
All municipal buildings, offices, Canada Post, as well as banks will be closed Monday.
Grocery stores, including Foodland St. Thomas, FreshCo, Food Basics, No Frills, Metro, Miller’s Your Independent Grocer, M&M Food Market, the Real Canadian Superstore and Walmart will also be closed.
Both Briwood Farm Market and Foodland in Port Stanley will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, with Shoppers Drug Mart at 410 Talbot Street operating from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Beer Store and LCBO in St. Thomas will be closed on Labour Day, however Lynhurst Esso & Variety will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m, including for the purchase of alcohol.
A reminder for users of the Middlesex Connect regional transit Route 3 linking St. Thomas with south London and Dorchester- there will be no bus service on Labour Day Monday.
Also, 94.1 myFM will not be publishing regular news on Monday, but will resume our normal coverage Tuesday.
