St. Thomas Police are actively investigating a death that took place at a residence early Wednesday.
Firefighters were originally called out just after midnight to a fire in the residence with several apartments.
Police and fire officials are still on scene in the area of Hiawatha Street and Curtis Street.

At this time, a road closure remains in place from Talbot and Hiawatha to Scott and Hiawatha as well as Curtis and Mary to Curtis and Mondamin.
