A reminder from the city that sports fields across the municipality are off-limits at this time.
The message comes from Adrienne Lacey-Griffin, the city’s manager of parks and forestry. She advises the reason for this move is to facilitate turf maintenance and drying.
The current wet conditions pose a risk of damage to the fields if they are used by teams and individuals.
She adds the monitoring of weather conditions and field status will continue and further updates will be provided once fields are ready for play.
