It’s a big week for the St. Thomas Jr. B Stars as the hometown boys prepare for the debut of their 2023-24 regular season.
The action gets underway this Friday when the Stars travel to the Pyramid Recreation Centre to take on the St. Marys Lincolns, with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m.
myFM sat down with Assistant Coach Joe Doyle who gave us a peak into what the team is looking like this year.
He adds that management put in some hard work during the off season to set the team up for success and now it’s time to let the skills speak for themselves.
In addition to the new players signed this year, the Stars also added to their coaching staff during the off season. Doyle notes it’s been exciting work thus far, as they look to mold this new group of young talent.
The St. Thomas Stars will start the 2023-24 regular season with an 8 game road trip before returning to the Joe Thornton Community Centre for their Home Opener. Doyle says it’s been slated for Friday, October 6th against the Strathroy Rockets and it would be amazing if St. Thomas could fill the rink!
And with the recent announcement that the Ice Box would be taking over the concession contact at both city arenas, a new option for game time snacks have also been secured.
