Get your bikes and decorations ready as the annual Canada Day celebration returns to Belmont next Saturday!
The fun kicks off with the Decorated Bicycle Parade taking place at 11:30 a.m., led by the Central Elgin Fire Department.
Then stop by the Don Yeck Park Pavilion beginning at noon for a $2 lunch, featuring a hot dog, chips and pop. Cake and face painting will also be available at the pavilion until 2 p.m.
The day will then end with a spectacular fireworks display in Don Yeck Park.
A rain date of Saturday, July 2nd has been planned for the fireworks show, should the weather not cooperate.
Organizers note that the event this year is partially funded by the Government of Canada, therefore donations towards the fireworks will not be accepted at the gate.
