While you typically can only vote once in an election, here’s your opportunity to vote as many times as possible.
It’s the 2023 Kraft Hockeyville Challenge and West Lorne has made it to the final four.
The community is buzzing and Kevin Summers, president of West Lorne Comets minor hockey tells myFM that last few days have been a blur.
Like many small communities across the country, the ice arena is a cramped affair with space at a premium. West Lorne is no different and the opportunity to win $250,000 in the 2023 edition of Kraft Hockeyville is looming closer.
Summers, president of West Lorne Comets minor hockey says the money can be put to good use.
West Lorne Arena has been a hub for the communities of West Lorne, Rodney, and Dutton since it was rebuilt after a fire in 1968.
Winning Kraft Hockeyville would help with a range of upgrades including a new front entrance with more accessible larger doors, new dressing rooms to accommodate more players and an expanded warm room for families and fans.
Summers notes the area has produced some outstanding hockey players including NHL’er Bo Horvat.
Final voting takes place March 31 and April 1.
