St. Thomas Police say they have arrested 40-year-old Christopher Menard following an over 2-hour standoff outside of a home on Aldborough Ave. – between Massey Dr. and Leger Ave.
The St. Thomas Police K9 Unit and several officers donned in heavy protective equipment & weapons were on scene. The situation was resolved peacefully shortly before noon on Wednesday.
Menard was taken into custody and will appear later today in St. Thomas court. Police have cleared the scene and the roadway is re-opened to traffic.
The suspect was wanted by St. Thomas Police since January 4th on three seperate arrest warrants.
