Three people have been arrested and charged following a pair of recent area robberies at Circle K convenience on Nov. 15 and The Village Variety in Sparta this past Sunday.
Thirty-nine year old James Boyd was arrested during a traffic stop Monday morning.
Elgin OPP and St. Thomas Police then executed a search warrant at a Wellington Street home, where 22-year-old Alexander McMillan and 35-year-old Jessica MacMillan were taken into custody and charged.
Boyd was charged with two counts of armed robbery and prohibited driving.
Alexander MacMillan is charged with two counts of robbery using a firearm, two counts of wearing a disguise with intent, two counts of pointing a firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and four counts of breach of probation.
Jessica MacMillan faces charges of possession of stolen property, breach of a release order and drug possession after officers discovered she was in possession of twenty one grams of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of $2,170.
