Last Wednesday, two local groups made a significant donation in support of Hospice of Elgin.
The St. Thomas Railway City Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of St. Thomas came together to present a joint gift of $100,000 to help bring a hospice to the community of Elgin County.
Barbara Warnock, President of the Rotary Club of St. Thomas says “We know that Hospice will help many people in our community, including ourselves and our families. When we heard that Hospice was moving forward, both clubs knew immediately that we needed to support this important project.”
The exciting news that a Hospice would be coming to the community and would be housed at 2 South Edgeware Road, right above Waterworks Park was announced back in July.
Now the team at Hospice of Elgin are working to advance the project and note that this gift signals an important commitment to help realize the vision of a Hospice for Elgin County.
