Over the past 18 months, the coronavirus has cancelled so many live events. That is until this coming weekend when the St. Thomas Summer Carnival rolls into the city for a celebration stretching over two weekends.
Mike McLaughlin co-chair of the St. Anne’s Community Festival explains they have teamed up with The World’s Finest Shows for a summer celebration featuring rides, games and food.
McLaughlin says the carnival will take place right downtown at Talbot and Ross streets.
And it’s a fun way to celebrate summer while raising funds for the charities they traditionally support each year notes McLaughlin.
Mclaughlin adds you can support the charities by purchasing a $2 50/50 raffle ticket for a chance to win up to $14,000.
The carnival runs this Friday through Sunday and again July 28th through August 1st.
The St. Thomas Summer Carnival is being organized by Worlds Finest Show who say that ride all day wristbands will not be available at this time due to capacity restrictions.
