A surprise visitor from the North Pole flew into St. Thomas on Saturday. Santa Claus dropped by the CASO station where MP Karen Vecchio and MPP Jeff Yurek confirmed all travel arrangements have been cleared for his three-day visit Dec. 4, 5 and 6 for a 2020-modified holiday parade in Pinafore Park. It was a happy Santa when he heard the good news.
Although the annual Optimist Club Santa Claus Parade was halted as a result of COVID-19, the group has teamed up with our local politicians to help keep the holiday spirit alive.
Before he left to return to the North Pole, Santa had a message for all boys and girls about his big return trip on Christmas Eve.
In conjunction with the Optimist Club of St. Thomas, the Elgin-Middlesex-London Reverse Holiday Parade will be in place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. next Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
