Although it’s not in the style they wish to present it, the Aylmer Kinsmen will be putting on a Drive-Thru Santa Claus Parade this Saturday.
As a result of COVID-19 restriction, the 76th edition of the Aylmer Santa Claus Parade will look a lot different but with the help of Southwest Public Health, the East Elgin Community Complex and the Town of Aylmer, they are putting together a little event to help celebrate the holidays.
Assistant Parade Marshal Paul Bode explains the plan they have in place.
He adds that unfortunately it is the best they are able to do this year.
Bode says that they wanted to give families something to do that evening and make sure children had the opportunity to see Santa this holiday season.
The Drive-Thru Santa Claus Parade will be taking place from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., where volunteers will be on site to help direct and collect non perishable food donations for the Aylmer Corner Cupboard.
