As the Chief Executive Director and Founder of Courage for Freedom, Kelly Franklin has made it her mission to help in the fight against human trafficking in our neck of the woods as well as all across Canada.
Through the many projects and initiatives she has spearheaded such as #ProjectOnRoute, which quickly turned national and into #ProjectMapleLeaf, it’s a no brainer that on “World Day against Trafficking in Persons”, we highlight Franklin as one of our “Women of Influence” proudly brought to you by 94.1 myFM and Doug Tarry Homes.
With an area of expertise that not many people have, we asked Franklin what one of the biggest challenges she and Courage for Freedom face in the fight against human trafficking.
Franklin says that as far as an accomplishment she’s most proud of, it’s more so that people showed up and showed support for their once provincial but now national campaign.
Franklin of course is not done there and if the show of support that was seen at #ProjectOnRoute which took place exactly a year ago today doesn’t prove it, her continued work with #ProjectMapleLeaf sure will.
