Due to the uncertainty in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, the St. Anne’s Community Festival that was set to take place from June 3rd to 6th has been cancelled. With heartfelt regret the committee announced the cancellation today (April 23), stating the health and safety of all those that attend the festival is their utmost concern.
The St. Anne’s Community Festival which was set to take place in St. Thomas for the 49th year has provided family fun, for both young and old, while donating it’s proceeds back into the community to support many of the charities and organizations that are helping to make a difference in people’s lives.
Director Joe Fleming says its an unfortunate one but it was the only decision they could make at this time.
Fleming says that when things start to get back to “normal”, they hope to plan some events to bring the community together.
Fleming adds that they will be back bigger and better than ever next year.
During the pandemic the committee has and will continue to support organizations such as The St. Thomas Food Bank, Inn Out of the Cold and Grace Cafe so that they can carry on their much needed work within our community and ask that you consider doing the same during this time of crisis.
