Referring to her as an individual who wore her heart on her sleeve, St. Thomas Mayor Joe Preston paid tribute today (Monday) to Coun. Linda Stevenson who died Saturday at the age of 62.
Preston noted Stevenson was also a long-time community volunteer who served on a variety of committees and boards.
She was also the recipient of local, provincial and national recognition and awards.
Being able to fill the gap in Stevenson’s absence will be a difficult task, stressed Preston.
Stevenson was serving on her second term as member of city council and also sat as a school board trustee for six years and was vice-chair of the Local Health Integration Network for six years.
