Ontario Families can fish anywhere for free this weekend until February 17th. For Family Day weekend, Canadian residents can fish anywhere in Ontario without a license or outdoors card.
Natural Minister Resources Minister John Yakabuski says the government is aiming to make family time outdoors a lot easier.
Along with free fishing during Family Day weekend, three more free fishing weekends will be available later this year. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekends will also bring free fishing across Ontario without the need of a license. Also this weekend, families of four can save nearly 100 dollars on licensing for 2020.
