Several roads remain closed in St. Thomas this morning following the fire at the former Weatherhead Company of Canada plant at 100 Woodworth Avenue last night.
In a video update from the site this morning, Corporate Communications Coordinator with the St. Thomas Police Service, Samantha Wakefield, confirmed that road closures on Nolan Street, Woodworth Avenue, and Inkerman Street will remain in place throughout the day.
Both police and fire crews remain on scene as the investigation continues.
While the affected area remains blocked off, Edward Street is now open, allowing access to June Rose Callwood Public School and nearby businesses.
No further details about the fire have been released at this time, with more information to be shared as it becomes available.
