The Easter Bunny will be bouncing back into Downtown St. Thomas on Saturday, April 19th, for one of the season’s most egg-citing events.
The Downtown Easter Shop Hop, hosted annually by the St. Thomas Downtown Development Board, returns to Talbot Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., inviting residents to explore our local businesses.
We sat down with Sarah Lynch, Downtown Development and Engagement Officer with the St. Thomas Economic Development Corporation, who explains further.
Audio PlayerAt the core of the Shop Hop is the event passport, which participants will be able to download starting April 14. Lynch notes that visitors are encouraged to stop into participating businesses, browse, collect stamps, and enjoy the unique experiences — with many offering promotions, holiday treats, or festive surprises.
Audio PlayerThose that filled in the passport correctly will then be entered into a draw to win some Downtown Dollars.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Easter without a visit from a special guest notes Lynch.
Audio PlayerThe Easter Bunny will be in the downtown from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., so be sure to keep an eye out!
While general event hours are posted as 10 to 5, Lynch reminds visitors that individual store hours may vary. She suggests checking the website in advance if there’s a particular business you want to visit during the Shop Hop.
