A 49-year-old London woman has been charged by Aylmer Police after allegedly stealing prescription medication from a local business, where she was employed.
According to police, the theft was reported after Lorazepam — a controlled substance used to treat anxiety — went missing from the workplace.
An investigation revealed the woman was captured on surveillance footage taking the medication, and is believed to have consumed some of the pills while on the job.
The accused was arrested without incident on April 4th and released on an undertaking related to the theft.
Police later discovered she was also wanted by London Police in connection with an unrelated matter and subsequently turned her over to their custody.
