The St. Thomas Police Service reached a disturbing milestone last week.
At 1 p.m. on Thursday, the service reached 5,000 incidents and calls for service so far this year.
That is three days earlier than last year when the 5,000 mark was established at 11:30 p.m. on March 30.
In 2024, city police responded to over 23,000 calls.
