Fraud Prevention Month: Scammed Again?

It’s Fraud Prevention Month and we are taking each day this week to highlight a specific scam targeting people in the province.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice – that’s what this scam is hoping to do.

West Region OPP Sgt. Ed Sanchuk told us about a unique tactic where people will contact people who were previously scammed.

They’ll be sympathetic, saying they want to help.
