A 25-year-old from London has died following a wrong-way crash on Highway 401 near Currie Road in the Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich.
Elgin County OPP say the collision occurred around 3:30 a.m. on March 21 when a passenger vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes collided with a commercial motor vehicle.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured.
The westbound lanes of Highway 401 remain closed for investigation, with assistance from the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.
The identity of the deceased will not be released out of respect for the family.
