St. Thomas residents may notice some unusual vehicles navigating city streets over the next few weeks as the city embarks on a comprehensive road and sidewalk survey.
Conducted by Thurber Engineering, the survey aims to assess pavement and sidewalk conditions to help prioritize future projects.
A specialized scanning vehicle will be the first on the scene, moving slowly through local roads to evaluate pavement quality.
Following the road assessment, an e-tricycle outfitted with sensors will conduct a similar survey of sidewalk conditions. This phase of the project is expected to wrap up by mid-April.
Residents are encouraged to remain aware of these survey vehicles while they operate throughout the city.
