Since its launch on March 1, the OPP West Region’s Stay Focussed campaign has resulted in charges laid against almost 150 motorists.
The campaign was launched to help reduce accidents resulting from distracted driving.
Of the 146 drivers ticketed under the province’s distracted driving law, 15 of those charges were issued by Elgin OPP.
That is third highest of the 13 detachments in OPP West Region, behind Middlesex and Wellington counties.
