The Elgin Historical Society will shine a spotlight on the rich history of Alma College at a special talk coming up Wednesday.
The free event, open to the public, will take place at 7 p.m. at the Elgin County Museum, 460 Sunset Drive.
Society President Pete Sheridan will lead the evening with a presentation exploring the legacy of Alma College, a cherished St. Thomas institution for over a century.
Known for its elegant architecture and deep contributions to the city’s cultural and intellectual life, the college played a pivotal role in advancing women’s education in Ontario.
Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the teachers and students who helped pioneer new educational opportunities and left a lasting impact on the community.
