Tonight is certainly not just your average Thursday night hockey game.
Canada and the U.S. will battle tonight in the final of the first ever ‘Four Nations Face Off’, a tournament that has featured a prominent political undertone with the ‘booing’ of both the American and Canadian national anthems by spectators in Montreal and Boston.
We hit the streets to get your thoughts.
The two teams matched up on Saturday at the Bell Centre in Montreal, a game that was won by the US 3-1 and included three fights in the first nine seconds. Since the 1976 Canada Cup, Canada is 14-5-1 against the US in best-on-best competition.
This is the fifth time the two rivals will face off in a tournament final in best on best, with Canada winning the 1991 Canada Cup, as well as gold at the 2002 and 2010 Olympic games. The USA won a best-of-three in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey.
Game time is 8 p.m.
