
As measles cases continue to rise in the region, Southwestern Public Health is reporting another potential exposure in St. Thomas.
Our local health unit has been made aware of an exposure that took place at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Emergency Department on Sunday, February 16th between 2:30 and 8:15 p.m.
If you were present at this locations during the timeframe, were born in 1970 or later, and are not up-to-date with your vaccinations, you are urged call public health at 1-800-922-0096 ext. 1232.
This includes those who were only present briefly as measles is highly contagious and can linger in the air for up to 2 hours.
