Keep an eye on your mailbox this week for your voter information card.
Those who are registered to vote in the upcoming provincial election should receive the card by February 22nd, with information about when and where to vote.
Bring that card and one piece of accepted ID showing your name when you go to vote.
If you don’t receive a voter information card, you can still cast your ballot. It may just mean that information such as your address is not up to date or that you are not registered to vote. You’re asked to bring one piece of accepted ID showing your name and current home address.
You can also update or add your information to the voters list when you go to vote at the local election office, advance voting location or on election day.
Other aspects in preparing to cast your vote includes getting to know your local candidates and their platforms.
Elgin-Middlesex-London has 7 candidates running in the provincial election, including incumbent Rob Flack, Progressive Conservative Party; Amanda Stark, Green Party; Doug Mactavish, Liberal Party; Brian Figueiredo, New Blue Ontario Party; Amanda Zavitz, NDP; Cooper Labrie, Ontario Party and Stephen R. Campbell, None of the Above Party.
Election day will be taking place on Thursday, February 27th.
