The provincial election is coming up quick and so is the deadline to apply to vote by mail.
Those in the riding who wish to mail in their vote, must apply for a voting kit by 6 p.m. this Friday notes Carrie Woolley, Returning Officer for Elgin-Middlesex-London.
Your voting kit will include a write-in ballot, on which you will have to write the candidate’s given name and surname. Elections Ontario must receive your completed voting kit by 6 p.m. on February 27 to be counted.
As of Tuesday (Feb. 18), 557 voters in the Elgin-Middlesex-London electoral district have applied to vote by mail.
Those who miss the deadline to vote by mail and won’t be in the riding to vote on election day, can take advantage of advanced polls running from February 20th to 22nd.
You can also stop by the local elections office at 300 Talbot Street in St. Thomas, upper level of Grand Central Place, before February 26th at 6 p.m. to cast your vote.
