The Embrace Skilled Trades event is all about connecting small and medium-sized businesses with critical resources with the aim of supporting the region’s skilled trades.
It is hosted by the Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning and Development Board.
In addition to the St. Thomas-Elgin Regional Branch of Fanshawe College, spokesperson Petrusia Hontar lists some of the representative groups.
She stresses attendees should come prepared with plenty of questions.
Hontar explains it is about targeting relevant information to small and medium-sized businesses.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about local and government support programs and resources, discover how skilled trades can benefit their workforce, and network with industry leaders.
myFM asked Hontar about the Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning and Development Board.
