The Pitch grand finale returns to St. Thomas on Wednesday with a record-breaking $50,000 in cash and in-kind prizes up for grabs.
Hosted annually by the Elgin Business Resource Centre, this ‘dragon’s den-style’ event will pit 5 finalists against each other as they make their “Pitch” for the grand prize.
And it’s an extra special milestone this year notes EBRC General Manager, Sarah Foshay as the team gets set to celebrate the 10th anniversary.
Noting that it wouldn’t be possible without the local support.
Five entrepreneurs will have the chance to share their stories on Wednesday, January 29th- live at the St. Anne’s Centre.
This includes Evelyn’s Sausage Kitchen, A Place in the Woods, Field of Greens CSA Farm, Long Dog Design and Apparel, and Maximum Diesel, who will be vying for funds to either start up their business or expand their existing one.
Foshay explains how the night will look for them.
Something new this year says Foshay, is the ability to interact with past winners. She explains who will be in attendance for the big event on January 29th.
Adding that next Wednesday will be a full-circle moment for her as General Manager.
Those wishing to be a part of this incredible evening can reserve a ticket free of charge- here.
Doors open at 5:30 with the event getting underway at 6 p.m. A cash bar will also be available.
