A troubling start to the new year has triggered a quick response from St. Thomas Police Chief Marc Roskamp.
On three consecutive days last week, a frontline officer was assaulted while responding to a call for service.
These incidents occurred during routine calls for family disputes, unwanted persons and intimate partner violence.
In a release, Roskamp stressed, “The rise in violence against our officers is unacceptable and deeply concerning.”
