A forcible confinement incident early Thursday morning has led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Tillsonburg resident.
Around 4:30 a.m. St. Thomas Police were alerted to an individual forced into a vehicle and assaulted.
Police determined an argument involving a group of people known to each other escalated with the victim driven away against their will.
Police were able to locate the vehicle and EMS was called to treat the victim for facial injuries.
As a result, the 37 year old Tillsonburg resident was charged with Assault, Robbery with Theft, Disobey Court Order and Forcible Confinement.
The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and subsequently remanded into custody.
Police are continuing their investigation.
