Locke’s Public School has launched the CAA School Safety Patrol Program, an initiative to enhance student safety and build leadership skills.
The program empowers student volunteers to assist with safe and orderly crossings at the local elementary school, promoting a secure environment for their peers while developing confidence, teamwork, and responsibility.
The launch was a collaborative effort between Locke’s Public School, CAA, and St. Thomas Police Service.
Community Mobilization Officer Constable Tammy Voth led training sessions that emphasized road safety protocols and staying vigilant near roadways, ensuring students are well-prepared for their new roles.
As the St. Thomas Police Service note, “Together, we’re creating safer school communities for all students.”
