Toronto is set to be invaded by Swifties Thursday as the Eras Tour makes its long anticipated debut for the first of six shows over two weeks.
By checking out the local socials, it’s apparent that many from our listening area are making the trip.
Smiths Falls native Monica Guerin is going to what will be her second show on the tour, after first seeing Taylor in Detroit.
She described the pre-show mood as a bit of a preview as to what to expect for Toronto concert-goers.
As for the concert, she says it’s one of a kind that connects with each audience member differently.
As for the music itself, Guerin says the impact it has had changed as she got older.
Since she last saw Taylor, a new album, the Tortured Poets Department has been released. But like most die-hard Swifties, she knows what to expect when she sees her again, thanks to the media coverage and social media posts. But she does have some advice for anyone checking out the shows. Take a moment to enjoy it.
She also says pay attention to the show, not checking it out through your phone.
The first week of Taylor Swift’s sold out shows begin Thursday and run through Saturday. Then she does it all again next week.
