Ontario residents can now receive their free flu shot and new, updated COVID-19 vaccine at participating local pharmacies, public health units, and primary care providers across the province.
All Ontarians six months and older can get their next COVID-19 dose as long as it has been six months since their last dose or COVID-19 infection.
It is safe to receive both your COVID-19 vaccination and your flu shot at the same time.
Individuals are encouraged to speak with a health care professional if they need help determining their appropriate vaccination schedule.
Clinics are available for young children and community members in Oxford County, Elgin County, and the city of St. Thomas through Southwestern Public Health.
The health unit has a limited number of appointments available only for children from 6 months to 5 years old, as well as their families, who are unable to receive their vaccination at a local pharmacy.
These appointments can be booked online at: https://outlook.office365.com/book/SouthwesternPublicHealthCovid19Clinic@estpmicrosoft.com/ for Covid-19 and visit https://outlook.office365.com/book/SWPHFluforchildren5yearofageunderandtheirfamilies@estph.onmicrosoft.com/ for influenza.
COVID-19 vaccination clinics will also be available throughout the community for the general public.
No appointment is required at these clinics and influenza vaccines will also be offered while supplies last.
Visit http://swpublichealth.ca/covid19 for a list of clinic dates, times, and locations.
Respiratory season immunization can also be arranged through your primary care provider or a pharmacy.
