With the Thanksgiving weekend upon us, here’s what’s open and closed in St. Thomas and Elgin county.
All municipal buildings, offices, Canada Post as well as banks in both St. Thomas and Elgin County will be closed on Monday.
Grocery stores, including Foodland St. Thomas, FreshCo, Food Basics, No Frills, Metro, Miller’s Your Independent Grocer, M&M Food Market, the Real Canadian Superstore and Walmart will also be closed.
Briwood Farm Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, with both Shoppers Drug Mart at 410 Talbot Street in St. Thomas and Foodland in Port Stanley operating from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Beer Store and LCBO will be closed on Thanksgiving Monday, however residents are reminded that a number of convenience stores across St. Thomas-Elgin now carry alcohol.
Also, 94.1 myFM will not be publishing regular news on Monday, but will resume our normal coverage Tuesday.
