St. Thomas firefighters responded to multiple 911 calls just after 7 p.m. Sunday (Sept 29) night for a house fire on Penhale Ave.
All off-duty firefighters were called in to help battle the blaze as St. Thomas Police assisted with traffic control.
One home was severely damaged and a second neighbouring house suffered exterior damage.
Fortunately, all occupants evacuated safely, and the family dog was rescued from the backyard.
The fire has been ruled accidental, though the investigation is still ongoing.
