1. At Monday afternoon’s meeting, council members were asked to approve a request from the city’s emergency shelter, The Inn, for financial assistance.
In a report from Danielle Neilson, the Manager of Housing Stability Services for St. Thomas, the shelter is seeking a one-time investment of $195,000.

2. At a ceremony last Thursday morning, ground was broken for the city’s latest affordable housing development. It will become the home of a five-storey, 82-unit complex known as Highview Hideaway, located at 220 Highview Drive.
