Community Spotlight: Take in all the village has to offer with the return of the Port Stanley CALIPSO Festival

The Village of Port Stanley will be filled with residents and visitors alike this weekend as the Annual CALIPSO Festival takes over.

The four day event kicks off Friday with Opening Ceremonies at the Legion at 5 p.m. and continues through the holiday Monday- with a jam packed schedule of events taking place in between!

Committee Chair Marna Berry is excited to bring CALIPSO back for another year and the chance to show off all that our lake side community has to offer.

Berry says that so much has been planned over the four days, with a number of local favourites returning.

One of the highlights this year notes Berry is something just for the youth on Friday!

There will also be food trucks set up throughout the village all weekend, a kids zone, magic shows, a number of displays and more. Berry adds that the best part is most of these events and activities are completely free to attend.

And don’t forget to end your Sunday with a bang as the annual fireworks show is set to begin as dusk from the Berm.

The 2024 CALIPSO Festival will run August 2nd to 5th throughout the village of Port Stanley, with more details available here!
