OPP advise this morning a search will continue for a missing 14-year-old London boy who went missing Sunday afternoon in the water off Port Stanley Main Beach.
Around 1 p.m., Central Elgin Beach Rescue witnessed a 44-year-old and a 17-year-old from London in distress. The pair were safely pulled from the water and advised a third individual was still in the water.
A group of individuals on the beach formed a human chain to comb the water near the shore.
In addition, Elgin OPP and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, OPP Aviation, the JRCC and the Central Elgin Fire Services joined the search efforts.
OPP advise due to the potential for adverse weather/water conditions and a concern for public safety they are requesting individuals avoid the search area at this time.
