Following a successful venue change for the city’s Canada Day celebration last year- a dazzling display of fireworks will light up the sky over 1Password Park once again Monday.
It’s a great local destination all on its own, with a playground, splash pad, and vast walking paths and sports fields throughout.
And the extra space to gather is only a benefit to hosting a celebration of this size notes St. Thomas Mayor Joe Preston.
Between the free facing painting, inflatables, games, petting zoo and vendors set up throughout, Canada Day celebrations in St. Thomas will have something for everyone.
Scheduled events kick off at 4 p.m., with the Mayor’s welcome speech and free ice cream cake courtesy of The Ice Box taking place around 6 p.m.
Preston adds that members of council will be present throughout the celebration Monday and look forward to mingling with residents.
