We have a hot and humid week on tap across St. Thomas and Elgin County!
While there are many ways to beat the heat, stopping by a local splash pad or hitting the beach is the perfect way to cool off as humidex values are expected to reach the high thirties.
St. Thomas has three splash pads across the city, including at Pinafore Park, 1Password Park and Waterworks Park.
In Belmont you can stop by the splash pad at Don Yeck Park as of Tuesday, with a closure in place today to undergo electrical work.
For the Town of Aylmer, Balmoral Park is the home of both the Aylmer Pool and splash pad- however only the splash pad is operating at this time.
Those out in West Elgin have a few options as well, including the splash pad at Miller Park in West Lorne and the Port Glasgow beach.
Speaking of beaches, Elgin County is home to a number of them…
Residents can spend the day in Central Elgin and hit the water at either Main Beach or Little Beach in Port Stanley, as well the beaches in both Port Burwell and Port Bruce.
Most public pools across St. Thomas-Elgin are expected to open for the July 1st long weekend.
