*UPDATE- The Boil Water Advisory was rescinded Thursday following the results of a second water sample.
A Boil Water Advisory has been issued by SouthWestern Public Health- affecting approximately 30 homes in the Municipality of Central Elgin.
This comes as a result of an adverse water sample taken that indicates the presence of bacteria, affecting those from Mackenzie Lane to the west end of George Street in Port Stanley.
Notices have been hand delivered to affected residents and those who did not received a notice are assured that municipal water is safe for consumption.
The Municipality has conducted an additional water sample from the affected area and submitted it for testing, with an additional sample to be taken on Wednesday.
More details will be provided as they become available and affected residents will continue to receive direct updates.
