It continues to be evident that when you play at Jackpot Time in St. Thomas, it is the community that wins.
Since the OLG partnership between Jackpot Time and the charities of the St. Thomas Gaming Association began in 2013, over $17 million has been distributed to organizations and not-for-profits across St. Thomas and Elgin county.
Sean Ross with the St. Thomas Gaming Association notes that this past fiscal year was extra special as a record-breaking total was raised by the 93 charities.
Over 1000 volunteers across the 93 charities came together to raise an incredible $3,170,812.13. And as Ross notes, all that money goes right back into the community.
You may see it utilized at local events such as the St. Thomas Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt or through the sponsorship of a youth sports team.
But much like Ross points out, a lot of this money is very quietly making a big difference in St. Thomas-Elgin.
Adding that no matter the size of the donation, a significant impact is made in our local community.
Ross thanks not only the volunteers and staff at Jackpot Time for continuing to help this program grow, but also the customers who show up to play and in-hand support the important working being done in our community.
