A 21-year-old London man has been charged with break, enter and theft following an investigation in Aylmer Wednesday morning.
Police say they were contacted around 7:30 a.m. after True North Cannabis was broken into.
With assistance from the St. Thomas Police Service k9 unit, officers conducted a search for the suspect.
This saw a heavy police presence in the area of Talbot and Myrtle Streets, with Optimist and Balmoral Parks closed to the public as the investigation was underway.
A short time later, police received a call from an alert staff member of True North, who believed the suspect was on foot in the area of Highway 73 and Yorke Line.
Officers attended the area, where the suspect was located and arrested.
The Aylmer Police thank the St. Thomas Police for their assistance, as well as the public for avoiding the area this morning.
