If you’ve ever thought about signing yourself or your child up for ringette, an event hosted at the East Elgin Community Complex later this month may be the perfect opportunity for you.
The St. Thomas Ringette Association will be offering a free ‘Come Try Ringette’ session on Saturday, April 27th at 9:45 a.m., giving attendees the chance to learn more about the unique sport.
It’s open to those age 4 through 12-years-old and provides them with the chance to meet other players, try some skills and drills and maybe even play a quick game.
The only items participants will need are skates, a CSA approved helmet, and warm mitts or hockey gloves.
Those hoping to attend are asked to pre-register online or by emailing thunderringetteregistrar@gmail.com. Those that email are asked to provide the participant’s age, skating ability and parent contact information.
